Pastor Aramy Honore is the first pastor of of the Gospel Chapel Church of Evanston.  He was first called to the Lord in Pastor Omiel Pierre-Paul Church in Haiti.  There he also met his beloved wife Sister Valentine.  Through many trials and tribulations the Lord blessed them and allowed Sister Valentine to come to the United States in 1977 and the Pastor Honore was able to come in 1981.  The young couple started in Chicago but they did not feel comfortable in Chicago and ended up moving to Oakland California.  The church started when Pastor Honore received a call from the Lord in California to start a church in Chicago.  It wasn't easy for the church to start but the Lord Jesus Christ always made a way.  The church started in the Pastor's one bedroom apartment in July 1982.  Eventually moving the church when the Pastor and his wife moved to their new home in 1985.  In 1987 the church moved out of the Pastor's house into a rental facility for a short time.  After just a few months the church left their location and they were forced to go from place to place to hold services.  During these turbulent times when there was no location available the services were held in the Pastor's home until 1993. In 1993 The church moved into its own building at 1808 Church Street Evanston, IL.  Since being at the new location Pastor and Sister Honore continues to work tirelessly to preach the Word of God, help those in need, and be an example of how we all should follow our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
